It uses romaji, but it's a fun one so don't miss it. It's a fantastic, albeit incomplete, introductory grammar course. Human Japanese is a fantastic little app you can buy on the Google Play store. So I learn grammar from my textbook then review by drilling with Bunpro. though textbooks like Genki are better at teaching the stuff. Anki is free.īunpro is great for drilling grammar points. Then there are a number of premade Anki decks (digital flashcards) which you can use to learn from as well. (Remembering the Kanji by James Heisig is a book series and it's also proven. Maybe the others have somethinge else to say? :) Even if you dont know some of the words on easiest take this chance to learn them and add them to your own personal anki deck. Since your a beginner start on easiest then work your way up.

After you complete what this app has to offer you can use the Chinese Grammar Wiki and a Vocabulary learning program to study the other hsk levels. This app will get you to about a hsk1 level. I didn't start with a textbook however (too classroom based for me). There are many, but some of the most recommended textbooks for Mandarin are Integrated Chinese and NPCR - choose your fancy.
